Suggestions on extending the service life of beam light sources

(1)     Suggestions for the use of switch bulbs

1.Try not to extinguish the bulb within 5 minutes after it is lit. At this point, the bulb has not yet reached thermal equilibrium and is prone to blackening, eventually causing the bulb to lose its transparency and shortening its service life.

2.After the bubbling command is given, it may be subject to external high-frequency interference, and some lamps may receive the bubbling signal later or receive incorrect signals. It is recommended that if the lamp still does not light up after 2 minutes of lighting, reset the entire lamp and then light it again.

3.For users with the necessary conditions, when turning off the bulbs, it can be set uniformly to the horizontal state of the lamp head (Y-axis) to extinguish the bulbs (in this state, the heat dissipation of the light source on both sides is the most balanced), which is quite helpful in reducing the cold cracking or bubble explosion of the bulbs. If it is in an inclined state, the heat will be biased towards one side of the wick, which is more likely to cause thermal imbalance.

4.Try to avoid frequently turning on and off the bulbs of lamps, especially within one minute after turning on the bulb. If the bulb is turned off within one minute, it is very likely that the mercury inside the bulb will cool into large particles. Especially for new bulbs, it is more likely that the mercury droplets will short-circuit the bulb electrodes, which will result in the bulb not being lit. At this point, you need to remove the bulb, gently tap it with your hand to throw the mercury onto the inner wall of the bulb, and the short circuit will be relieved. Then you can light it again.

(2) Suggestions for using in standby mode

1. Do not keep the lamp in a static state for a long time (when the bulb is on). Try to slowly rotate the XY axis of the lamp at a large Angle to make the heat dissipation of the lamp bulb more balanced.

2. For users whose usage scenarios are those where the lamp head remains at a fixed Angle for a long time, it is advisable to alternate their use by adjusting the XY axis rotation as much as possible while the direction of the lamp head remains unchanged.

3. If alternating use is not possible, the lamp head can be slowly shaken 10 minutes before the bubble is extinguished after the activity ends (both the XY axes move from 0 to 255 simultaneously) to release the stress generated at a fixed Angle and slow down the accumulation of stress.

4. After the bubbles on the control console are extinguished, the lamps should be powered off in time to reduce the rate of cold cracking and bubble explosion.

(3) Other suggestions

When a lamp is not powered on and does not light up for a long time, the light source will still age over time, resulting in a shortened lifespan of the light source. It is recommended that the lamps be powered on regularly and operate with bright bulbs.
