School Project of East China University of Technology

East China University of Technology, abbreviated as "ECUT", is legally registered in Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province. It is under the jurisdiction of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education. As the first higher education institution in China's nuclear industry, it is a comprehensive university jointly built by the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government, the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, the Ministry of Natural Resources, and China National Nuclear Corporation. It features geology and nuclear science, with a focus on science and engineering, and also encompasses economics, management, literature, law, education, and art. ECUT is a pilot university for the "Outstanding Engineers Education and Training Program" of the Ministry of Education, a selected university for the "111 Program", and a university involved in the "New Engineering" research and practice project. It is also a national defense education characteristic school and a training base for non-commissioned officers of the People's Liberation Army Navy and a talent cultivation base for China National Nuclear Corporation. 

The university was founded in 1956 as Taigu Geological School. In 1958, it moved to Taiyuan City and was renamed Taiyuan Geological College. In 1959, it moved to Fuzhou City, Jiangxi Province, and was renamed Fuzhou Geological College. In 1978, it was renamed Fuzhou Geological Institute. In 1982, it was renamed East China Geological Institute. In 2002, it was renamed East China Institute of Technology. In 2002 and 2003, Jiangxi Provincial Defense Science and Technology Industry School and Fuzhou Normal College were successively merged into the university. In 2007, it was renamed East China University of Technology. The university has successively been under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Geology, the Second Ministry of Machinery, the Ministry of Nuclear Industry, the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense, and the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government.

The multi-functional hall of the school is equipped with a professional lighting system of the VANRAY brand. Through the meticulous configuration of LED profile spotlights, LED wash par lights, flat conference lights and beam moving heads, a magnificent visual art feast has been created.
