Project Background

Ganzhou Ancient City is located in the south of Jishou City, Hunan Province, China — a nationally recognized 4A-level tourist attraction and provincial historical and cultural heritage site. As one of the most significant cultural landmarks in western Hunan, the ancient city draws visitors year-round and serves as a premier destination for cultural tourism in the Miao-Jiang region.

Project Challenge

Lighting a centuries-old heritage site requires a precise balance between visual impact and architectural sensitivity. The project demanded fixtures capable of highlighting the ancient city's distinctive streetscapes, waterfront landscapes, and historic structures—while meeting the durability requirements of a permanent outdoor installation exposed to the humid subtropical climate of western Hunan.
