Nowadays, more and more lamps are using laser light sources, especially outdoor waterproof lamps. When many customers check the light source data, they will find a problem: why does the luminous flux of the laser light source seem not very high, but the actual illuminance is actually very high? In fact, this is determined by the core characteristics of the laser light source.

Laser light source characteristics:

Traditional light sources, including LEDs, emit light in a three-dimensional manner, with the light radiating from all directions. Even though the total luminous flux is high, the light distributed in each direction is limited. Laser light sources emit light that is almost parallel. The light-emitting surface is very strong, the light-emitting solid angle is very small, and the luminous flux is very concentrated. Therefore, laser light sources' beam lamps are good at projecting over long distances, with very small light spots, thereby achieving high energy density of light emission.
